SEAGOT CAMPING AT BANASURA SAGAR-WAYANAD.

DAY ONE

7.30 am Reach Seagot Campsite- at Banasura Sagar

Banasura Sagar Dam:
This is the largest earth dam in India. The topography is such that many islands will be formed in the upstream of the dam when it is full. These islands with the background of Banasura hill provide a hypnotizing sight to tourists.

Leave to Soochippara water falls


Soochippara Waterfalls[17 km]

Soochippara waterfalls are really treasures of nature. Alight from your drive&take a one
Km. Walk into the dense equatorial forest of Wayanad. \You will discover nature at its thundering best. Soochippara is a 3-tiered powerful waterfall. The cliff face here is ideal for rock-climbing, but for true professionals only.

Spent 2 hours at Soochippara waterfalls.

1.45 Lunch at Soochippara

3.00 p.m. Leave to Seagot Banasura Sagar Camp site for camping out.

Leave for Kuruva Island
Kuruva Island [60 km]

955 acres of thick green forest along the banks of the tributaries of east flowing Kabini river forms Kuruva Dweep or island. This island is totally uninhabited. This isolated area is an ideal picnic spot. Kuruva Dweep is a paradise for exotic birds. Enjoy the sights of different birds and learn about their nesting habits and mating calls. Angling, trekking, swimming and exotic birds watching could all be done here. A must see destination in Wayanad.

Billing instructions:
50% of the total bill should be paid in advance. DD in favor of SEAGOT payable at Kalpetta.

09.30 a.m. Leave for Edakkal caves

Edakkal caves:

Edakkal caves in the Ambukuthy Mountains are not caves in the right sense. It is only a cleft in reality. It is a cleft about 96 ft. long& 22ft. wide in the rock. There are some interesting carvings of pre- historic age. This location is of breath taking beauty.

Chembra Peak –.
[Full day required]

Chembra peak is 2,100-meters above sea level & the tallest point in Wayanad. Scaling this peak& back is an exhilarating 5-6 hrs trek from the base. At 1500 meters from the base ,there is a crystal clear lake hardly touched by human hands. This peak is a trekker’s paradise. The scenic beauty of Wayanad, that is visible from the top of Chembra peak,is really mesmerizing. 5-6 hours trek.

Pakshipathalam-

Trek- 7-8 hours.

Trek- 3 hours
